Miles To Dayton
The Sun Gets Down — Michael Korb
Since releasing their first album A LONG WAY BACK in 2005, Miles to
Dayton has continued to grow their audience and has firmly established
themselves as one of the up and coming young bands on Long Island. We first
heard them in Patchogue when they opened the 2006 - 2007 Patchogue Theatre
Live in The Lobby season, and since them they have played the lobby as a
full band, as an acoustic trio and as individual members performing their
own compositions. In June of 2007 they played their first Patchogue Theatre
main stage performance in a triumphant performance with over 500 people in
the house to hear the debut of their second album RISE.
Miles to Dayton is two talented
brother-sister duos: Lead vocalist Krista March and brother Dave March on
bass and vocals, plus guitarist/cellist/vocalist Jon Preddice and his
sister, Leanne Preddice on violin. With percussionist Rob Caniglia, Miles To
Dayton's sound is a unique texture of thoughtful songs sung with tight vocal
harmonies backed by strings and guitars - a truly unique sound ranging from
acoustic ballads to rousing rockers.

O pening
the show will be The Sun Gets Down and Michael Korb
The Sun Gets Down is Ryan Engelbert on rhythm guitars and lead vocals and
the blazing acoustic lead guitar of James Boone. Their upbeat high energy
sound has graced the Patchogue Theatre main stage and the Live in the Lobby
several times over the past two years, and they have built and enthusiastic
following in Patchogue and throughout eastern Long Island.

Michael Korb's lyrics surround mental, emotional and situational
struggles and on the other hand his melodies are addictive and fun to sing.
There's just something about his music that attracts audiences young and
old, but ask anyone what it is exactly, and you're bound to only get a small
piece of the story. We are pleased to welcome Michael to PTPA for the first
time.
