The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) is
proud to continue our support of local musicians and songwriters by
presenting the “Miles To Dayton” CD Release Performance on the main stage
on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 8:00 pm.
Since releasing their first album, “A Long Way Back” in
2005, M2D has been gaining recognition on the Long Island music scene for
their thoughtful songwriting and outstanding musicianship. Their
heartfelt message crosses many boundaries with a loyal audience that
crosses several generations. The Miles to Dayton sound ranges from solo
acoustic songs to rocking jams, with a distinctive vocal approach,
including lead Vocalist Krista March, her brother, bassist David March and
guitarist/cellist Jon Preddice. The three share the lead vocal delivery
and also join in outstanding vocal harmonies, while talented sister Leanne
Preddice threads her virtuoso violin texture throughout each song.
Percussionist Robert Caniglia provides the solid backbone for this five-
piece ensemble that has gained a strong local and regional following.
Miles to Dayton has been hard at work recording their
second album, “Rise”, a collection of uplifting songs that promise to be
their finest work yet. They will debut this album and officially release
the disc at this very special night at PTPA. Joining them will be their
friend
John Flor Sisante, who will join them on keyboards and also perform
several songs from his debut album “The Music of Things”.
