LI Sound Chorus of Sweet Adelines Int. presents

Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 3:00 PM

We Go Together

The LONG ISLAND SOUND CHORUS is a chapter of SWEET ADELINES, INT'L., a non-profit music education organization for women whose motto is "Harmonize the World".  The LONG ISLAND SOUND CHORUS, home-based in Riverhead, is a chorus of about 40 women singers from 18 to 80 who come from Medford to Montauk once a week to rehearse exciting acappella musical arrangements in four part harmony, barbershop-style.  Their purpose is to make an important contribution to the community and each other while perpetuating the uniquely American art form of Barbershop Harmony.  They sing music from Broadway shows, the Big Band Era, jazz and blues, and popular modern tunes.

The chorus is available to entertain at any event.  Their performance can be adapted to enhance fundraising events, conventions, community fairs and festivals, special birthdays or anniversaries and any other event where a professional quality performance is needed.

The chorus is always looking for new members, and any woman who loves to sing is invited to join them at Mercy High School in Riverhead any Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.

The director of the LONG ISLAND SOUND CHORUS is Peggy DiSunno, and she can be reached at (631) 267-6441.
