Often referred to as “The Female Elvis”,
Brenda was the first “crossover artist” blending Pop and Country influences,
paving the way for singers like Patsy Cline. Starting at 12 years old with
her first big hit “Sweet Nothin’s” in 1960 followed by two #1 Hits (most
noted “I’m Sorry). Top 10 include hits in Pop, R & B and Country. Honors
include: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2002), Grammy Hall of Fame (1999),
Rockabilly Hall of Fame (1999) and Country Music Hall of Fame (1997). A
wonderful career that includes recording for Decca Records, The Grand Old
Opry, her recording “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree”, sold an unbelievable
100 million records more than any other woman in the history of recorded
