Performing The Hits of Mountain & Cream!

Corky Laing joins forces with Kofi Baker (Ginger Baker’s son) to celebrate the music of Mountain and Cream. Two super groups from two different sides of the Atlantic with Felix Pappalardi as their common nominator. Two generations of phenomenal drummers: Corky, the original drummer of Mountain, and Kofi, who continues the Baker legacy.

The unforgettable Mountain classics open the show. Corky is joined on stage with Chris Shutters on guitar, flute & vocals and Mark Mikel on bass, keyboards & vocals. The fans will be inspired by the Mountain repertoire performed like it was originally recorded. Half way in, it is time for the immortal Cream tunes with Kofi Baker on drums. The show culminates with Corky returning behind his kit. Two drummers, two drum kits, one stage: A spectacular feast of rock drumming. After the show, there will be a Q&A session with Corky and Kofi.

Corky Laing

Corky Laing (CAN/USA) is a drummer, songwriter, singer, lecturer and a raconteur. He is best known as the legendary drummer of Mountain (1969-) and West, Bruce and Laing (1973-1975). Mountain toured and recorded on and off until 2010. In 2014 Corky was awarded the Bonzo Bash Legend Award (following Bill Ward, Carmine Appice and Peter Criss). With a career spinning over half a century, Corky has played, written and recorded with everyone from Ian Hunter to Eric Clapton. During the past few years, Corky has been busy touring Europe and the US celebrating the Mountain repertoire.

Kofi Baker

Kofi Baker (UK/USA) is the son of Cream’s Ginger Baker. At the gentle age of 6, Kofi first played live with his father on a famous English TV show and during the 80s they performed drumming duets throughout Europe. Kofi has toured and gigged with numerous named artists including Jack Bruce, Steve Marriot’s Humble Pie, Uli Jon Roth, John Etheridge (Soft Machine), Steve Waller (Manfred Mann) and Randy California (Spirit). Kofi continues to play extensively and has set up his own drum school, which spawns many loyal fans and students.
